DO A LITTLE DANCE

(One Man Mormon Blues Band)
May 30, 2001
I wrote this song for Sheila when she was born. I think I must have been inspired because, of all my grand children so far, she is the one who seems to love to dance the most. She is also just a little feisty and can change “like the rolling, boiling sea”. But she is a good girl, sweet and very pretty.
I hope we can dance many dances together.
Well I’ve never seen such a Lady
Won’t you do a little dance with me
Happy if she just said maybe
Won’t you do a little dance with me

Chorus
Won’t you come on, Sheila won’t you come on
Do a little dance with me
Won’t you come on, Sheila won’t you come on
Do a little dance with me

Well she changes like the rolling boiling sea
You can tell she likes being free
She’s free to be anything she wants to be
She’s free to come out and dance with me

Didn’t I see those dark brown eyes
Do a double take on me
Didn’t I just see those pretty lips smile
Trying to put the make on me

She said she’d come out in the pale moonlight
And do a little dance with me
She said she’d come out and see the stars with me
Looking back at where you used to be
