Things Which Are Seen (Hebrews 11:3)

One testimony meeting a friend made reference to the faith chapter. I approached them afterward and asked which chapter they meant and they said Hebrews 11 of course.

Now I had read that chapter many times, but somehow it had not penetrated what it was actually about and was blown away by it's full contents.

But then I made my greatest discovery: "Things which are seen are not made of things which are seen." This has meaning on so many levels: ideas, service, components, atoms. I wondered just what did Paul know about modern chemistry that would cause him to make such a claim?

I don't know that the song is that great, but the idea is immense.
A long time ago there were martyrs on the earth
Men who died amidst gunshots and mirth
Some were left to question their worth
But for millions of others it rekindled rebirth
For things which are seen are seldom made
Of things which are seen.

In a land far away decisions were made
And the lives of millions was the price to be paid
Some were left to moan and cry
While others were left to wonder why
For things which are seen are seldom made
Of things which are seen.

In the beginning God created the earth
He said it was good surpassing all worth
Some were left wondering how it was done
Others were left worshipping the sun
For things which are seen are seldom made
Of things.

Tapestry and paintings hanging on the wall
Poetry and music are filling the halls
Electrons and atoms flying through the air
Life and death everywhere
For things which are seen are seldom made
Of things which are seen.
