Autobiographical tale of how my beautiful wife came to marry me. Pure compassion.
There once was a lovely girl with a gentle heart
It’s important that you know that, right from the very start.
Shed been taught to be kind to every living thing
That if she couldn’t say something nice to not say anything.
Then this girl met a boy as ugly as he was thin
He had a goofy walk he had a goofy grin
He had coke bottle glasses and buddy holly hair
And if he didn’t know what to say he’d probably just stare
Now this boy asked her out you knew that what he’d do
She couldn’t think of anything nice to say so she’ll have top see it through.
Now one thing led to another he finally asked for her hand
She felt so sorry for the geek she could not take a stand
Now they been married a long time boy thinks he’s so cool
She’s had to live for thirty years with an ugly fool
There’s a moral to this story though it might make you blue
Listen close and I will explain the lesson that’s in it for you.
Uncontrolled compassion just see what it can do
Better grow a mean streak baby or this could happen to you.
