I wrote this song for my wife. But it has found a second life in my Anatomy Class, because it is biologically correct, sort of.
You got DNA Baby vibrating strand of twisted steel
Don’t want just your heart, Baby, don’t want your love piecemeal
I like your nucleotide bases and the way your phosphates feel
You got amino acids put together so sweet
You got enzymes, but maybe I’m being indiscreet
But your messenger RNA sure sending messages to me
I got pyramiding dimers my double helix is abused
It ain’t your fault, Baby, least nothing I can’t excuse
When I look at you, I get those old DNA blues
When I look at you, I get those old strand DNA blues
