Kade is the precocious son of my son. He is reading several grades beyond his age and has an insatiable curiosity and eagerness to learn. He speaks with an authority and and air beyond his years and sometimes I almost think he is a wise old man in desguise. He has a sophisticated sense of humor and loves to pull pranks on people, especially sisters and brothers.
It snowed on Cold Mountain the day you were born
But down in the valley it was springtime and warm
You came from the border land just like the snow
Falling into our lives at two rivers below
The snow on cold mountain will melt in the sun
And that’s how we’ll know that winter is done
Like the snow on Cold Mountain the day you were born
You came drifting softly, early in the morn
Like the snow that melts to form rivers and streams
Running and tumbling and chasing your dreams
And you’ll sleep in a canyon with walls up to the sky
And you’ll grow to be a man at least that high
It snowed on Cold Mountain the day you were born
But down in the valley no sign of the storm
